Meagan Cross
Meagan Cross' qualifications are in Geographic Information Science and she is a certified Spatial Practitioner with the Spatial Sciences Institute of Australia. Meagan worked for five years mapping vegetation in the Wet Tropics World Heritage, Far North Queensland area before moving to the Australian National Native Title Tribunal where she works as a Mapping Scientist liaising with aboriginal Australians, various government departments and other stakeholders to determine Native Title over traditional land (currently on extended maternity leave). Meagan also has experience in data programming, website & database design. Still active in the spatial community, she is Secretariat & Treasurer for a regional Geographic Information Systems user group as well as consulting for a local archeological/cultural heritage firm. She is also a small business owner, running a specialized Stainless Steel Fabrication business with her husband Rohan.
Meagan has a three year old daughter with Angelman Syndrome.
